Hear with your eyes
A NEW lip reading class, and support for people with hearing loss is on offer in Stroud.
The friendly club and support group for people with a hearing loss meets monthly for coffee and chat in a member's home near Merrywalks on the second Thursday from 10.30am to 12noon.
This year the group has also surveyed hearing loop facilities in local banks and shops, and are currently visiting GP surgeries to see what help is available to hard of hearing patients.
The next meeting is on October 9 with a visitor from the Gloucestershire Deaf Assocation.
Sunday and Monday evenings £12.00 per head for an all inclusive meal with Indian and Thai cuisine (normal price £14.50).

A new lipreading class, with tutor Tanya Harper, meets at the same venue on Tuesdays from 1.30pm -3.30pm. People can start any time and there is a free taster session for newcomers.
