ADAM HEATH has signed for Cirencester Town ahead of tonight's friendly with Cheltenham Town at the Corinium Stadium. (7.30pm)

The 21-year-old former Andover forward has been on trial with the Centurions during pre-season and manager Adi Viveash felt he had done enough to earn a contract.

“I'm really pleased that Adam has signed because I've been very impressed with him during pre-season,” said Viveash. “He can play wide on either side or up front and he has a great attitude.

“He's a young lad with a lot of goals in him and I think he will keep getting better.”

Ciren academy quartet Aaron Stevens, Sean Bailey, Ryan Dean and Dan Thompson have all been offered pay-as-you-play deals with Ciren and Stevens has already agreed.

The other three are considering the offer but will give Viveash an answer this week.

Thompson will miss the Robins clash with a groin injury, while new recruits Kes Metitiri and Steve Davies are also doubts. Gary Thorne is expected to have recovered from a shoulder problem in time to play in Ciren's last home game of pre-season.

“If anyone isn't 100 per cent we won't risk them but Dan is definitely out,” added Viveash.

“We'd like to keep those four young lads involved as part of the club so I hope they'll all agree to stay.”

Fellow trialists Ryan Shugar and Tom Dingle will be given another chance to impress against the Coca Cola League One side.

Bristol Rovers have agreed to let Ciren take a look at one of their players with a view to a loan deal for the start of the season and he will also be involved.

Centurions striker Julian Alsop is set to feature against his former side, where he is still their second highest Football League goalscorer.

Viveash said: “Jules is available and it will be a nice game for him to play in. I'm sure he will want to do well.”
