Heavy rain is expected to return to Gloucester tonight.

The Met Office has predicted downpours will continue overnight and then ease off during tomorrow morning.

Council gritters are not due to go out as temperatures are predicted to stay above freezing with a low of 4C.

No flood warnings have been issued and much of the water from last week has now receeded.
