With a table of culinary tricks including sun cream; taped recordings of summer sounds and even a little fan to create the feeling of a breeze Heston invited shoppers to sit down in a deckchair.

They were then given blackout glasses so they could concentrate on the senses of taste, smell and sound as he asked them to describe childhood food memories before handing over a typically bizarre looking ice cream for the person to taste saying he weanted to "push the boundaries of the 99."

“It was actually Pimms ice cream. I wouldn't have minded a bit but he only chose a few :( I have no idea what he did with the suncream though. He looked like he put it on the icecream?? Does anybody know when this episode will air?”

“They sell really nice ice cream in Lidl, and for only around £2 per litre as well. It's WAY better than Wall's.”

“Call me old-fashioned, but I much prefer a nice bowl of raspberry ripple with a bit of chocolate sauce on the top, rather than a helping of snail & spinach ice cream - or whatever "interesting" flavour HB has concocted this time.

Are his creations influenced by / in tribute to Letitia Cropley from The Vicar Of Dibley...???”
