High scores are racked up as Coney Hill duo lead way

THERE were 32 scores of 80 or more, F Broady of Coney Hill (P) taking top honours with 96.

Broady's team-mate P Stokes scored 95 and S Gregory of Cobblers (P) had a score of 90 made up of 8, 14, 9, 8, 9, 7, 7, 8, 9, 11.

Derrick Baker of Greyhounds (P) just missed out on a certificate when he had a score of 89, made up of 13, 6, 7, 7, 9, 8, 9, 7, 8, 15.

His team-mate Ian Kerslake had a score of 85, while Fabulous Baker Boys (P) duo Ian Williams and Mark Summerell had 87 and 83 respectively. The Boys also had a first-half leg of 51 made up of 9, 15, 12, 9, 6.

A Smith of Tuffley Robins (P) hit 83, K Stokes of Coney Hill (P) had a score of score 86 along with T Morgan with 82.

Mark Cornwell of Maisemore Hornets (P) had a score of 87, with John Cornwell hitting 84 and Dave Merchant 81 without a spare.

Shaun Jackson Of Moody Blues (P) had a score of 81 made up of 5, 3, 7, 6, 4, 15, 14, 4, 8, 5, 9, 9 and Bob Smith of Palmers Loafers (P) had a score of 81.

Keith Rogers of Famous Stampers (P) had a first-ball flatner converted to a 15 spare in his score of 80 and D Parker of Cobblers (P) had a second-ball flatner converted to an 11 spare in his 69.

Pete Awford of King's Arms (1N) had a score of 85 made up of 6, 12, 15, 8, 8, 8, 4, 8, 8, 8, Ade Cave of Parklanders (1N) had a score of 85 made up of 7, 8, 14, 8, 12, 5, 11, 7, 8, 5 and A Duggan of Matson Wolfhounds (1N) had a score of 84.

M Barwick of Spreaders (1N) had a score of 80 and S Burford of Elementaries (1N) also had a score of 80. B Coolman of New Indians (1N) had a score of 81 and Nigel Miller of DM4's (1S) had an 18 spare.

Richard Perks of Upleadon Wanderers (1S) had a score of 87 and Chris Bishop of Tigers (1S) had a score of 85. Mavericks (1S) had to play their second half with only four players and G Burnett of Longford Stragglers (1E) had a score of 80.

Cliff Melliar of Britwater (2N) had two 14 spares in his score of 85, J Davies of Flintstones (2N) had an 80 and Rich Wilkins of Hits and Misses (2S) had a score of 82 made up of 16, 8, 8, 8, 8, 7, 6, 6, 9, 6.

Malc Cleveland of Wave Ons (2W) had a score of 81 and S Watson of Andy Capps (2W) had a score of 83 and Karl Brooke of Link Pins (3N) had a score of 87 made up of 6, 7, 9, 13, 6, 6, 9, 7, 14, 12.

There were spares galore for Cross Hands (3N), Graham Gorman with a 14, Paul Cleveland with 12 and Dan Humphries with a 10. G Townsend of St James Extras (3S) had a score of 81.
