Hockaday is on the hunt for goals
FOREST Green boss Dave Hockaday is hunting for a striker with the 'killer' touch in a bid to solve their goalscoring problems.
His side go into their Boxing Day fixture against Salisbury City at the New Lawn with only Ebbsfleet United and Chester City below them in the Blue Square Premier.

But while the league table makes difficult reading, Rovers have been losing by only a single goal – their last three league defeats were 1-0.
Hockaday said he was leaving no stone unturned as he looked to turn those narrow defeats into positive results.
"We need a goalscorer," he said. "If and when we do lose, it's by the odd goal.
"We're strong defensively and we're working hard as a team, but we need someone with a killer touch to win the game.
"They're aren't a lot of them around and scoring goals is the hardest thing in the game, which is why goalscorers cost so much money.
"I'm on the phone 24/7 trying to bring someone in, but I'm not going to panic and get anyone just for the sake of it and it needs to be right for the balance of the team."
Hockaday has told his players to treat every game as a cup final as they look to get themselves out of relegation trouble.
Salisbury are only four places above Rovers, but they were deducted 10 points at the start of the season.
Hockaday said: "They're going to be well organised and work hard, and they've got a decent away record.
"We didn't play great against Rushden and Diamonds, but we found a way to win and defended very well.
"We need to get in front on Boxing Day and then look to kill the game."
With Gavin Carlin injured, new signing David Wilkinson and Terry Burton are competing for the goalkeeper's jersey tomorrow.
Steve Davies is about two weeks away from being available after a hernia operation, while Ben Pugh (hernia), Mark Preece (knee), Lee Ayres (groin) and Mike Fowler (ankle) are also unavailable.
Andy Mangan is working his way back to full fitness after his five-month suspension for breaching betting rules.
