A LONDON bus was just the ticket for teenager Flo Henry as she looked to arrive at her prom in style.

The 15-year-old hired a red Routemaster bus along with 70 of her school friends from Bournside School in Cheltenham for the trip to the town's Racecourse. Flo, who turns 16 next week, donned her best outfit for the event to mark the end of school and the beginning of the GCSE exam period.

She said: "I'd seen the Routemaster buses and decided I wanted to arrive at the prom in something different from a limousine or taxi.

"When I talked about it with my friends they thought it was a great idea too so we hired one out to take us all from school up to the racecourse. It was brilliant." The school leavers partied into the small hours in the Gold Cup suite with a DJ.

Flo added: "It was good to let our hair down before the exams get under way and it's the last time we'll all be together, as some people will be going to different schools next year."
