Hospital revamp under way
A MAJOR refurbishment project to lay new flooring and install new fire doors gets under way at Stroud General Hospital with work scheduled for completion before Christmas.
The eight-week project will involve re-flooring many areas of the hospital, including rehabilitation, X-ray, ultra-sound and occupational therapy departments, with new fire doors being installed in these areas as well as in-patient wards and theatre. The shower facilities on Jubilee Ward are also being upgraded.

Rosi Shepherd, interim locality manager for Gloucestershire Care Services, which runs Stroud General, said: "I'm delighted by the investment which underlines our commitment to provide local people in Stroud with high quality care in first-class facilities."
The project is funded jointly by NHS Gloucestershire and Stroud League of Friends, which is donating £150,000.
