Human rights campaigner to speak in Gloucestershire
Human rights campaigner Zerbanoo Gifford is visiting Gloucestershire in a bid to inspire others to make a difference with their lives.
The Indian-born campaigner is hosting a talk – the Important of Defying Expectations – at the Isbourne Holistic Centre, in Wolseley Terrace, Cheltenham, on February 11 from 7pm until 8.30pm.
She made political history in 1982 when she was elected in Harrow, Middlesex, as the first non-white woman councillor for the Liberal Party.
She also established the ASHA Foundation, which operates out of the Forest of Dean and supports philanthropy worldwide.
