Hunt on for spaniel Poppy, missing in Forest of Dean
Gorgeous cocker spaniel Poppy is missing somewhere in the Forest of Dean.
The 12-year-old dog was being looked after in Cinderford whiler her owner Wendy Potter was on holiday in New York, but dug her way out of the garden last Thursday.

"I'm devastated," said Wendy. "She is very much adored by us and I just hope she's found."

Poppy has been spotted several times since Thursday, including near the E-Act Academy in Cinderford and at Flaxley Abbey but she is nervous and won't come to strangers.
"It's completely out of character for her to run off like this," said Jane. "She's a lovely dog, she's really well behaved and she's stayed with me lots of times before but she dug her way out of the garden on Thursday."
Jane has been searching high and low for Poppy ever since and she has been registered on the Dog Lost website too.

“This can be a heart breaking situation, I guess she is micro chipped, I was informed when I lost my dog overnight that a dog is usually found within a mile of it's home by a competent dog finder, fortunately I did find my dog, and the night she was missing was the worst night of my life.
I wish you well.”
