Jockey Robert Thornton will miss Cheltenham Festival
Gloucestershire jockey Robert Thornton has been ruled out of next week's Cheltennham Festival.
Tests have revealed he broke his right arm in a fall at Southwell on Monday and could miss the rest of the jumps season.
Thornton tweeted today: "Few tests yesterday, not great news looks like I'll be missing the rest of the season."
He has ridden 16 Festival winners and was leading jockey at the meeting in 2007 with four winners.
