CHILDREN at Severn View Primary Academy joined with their MP to urge more people to run crossing patrols.

They love lollipop lady Ange Witt so much they want other schools to have the same opportunity. They met Stroud MP Neil Carmichael, with Ange to learn more about the role.

The newly-formed academy which is on the busy Bisley Old Road benefits from Ange's help twice daily as children cross to and from school.

"It's not great pay for an hour a day, so you have to want to do it for the community" Ange said. " I love it, seeing the children every day and talking to them, seeing them grow up."
