JUST 12 people have used a drink driving text line since it launched on December 4.

Police have urged more people to use the initiative to help catch motorists breaking the law.

Anyone can message them on 07860 009095 if they suspect someone is driving while over the limit.

Roads policing Inspector Jason Keates said: "While there were no arrests made as a result of the text hotline this Christmas it is an important new tool in our battle to combat drink driving and the extra information we are receiving from the public is very welcome.
