Northern Senior League Division Two Round-up

* AYLBURTON Rovers gained an excellent 2-0 win at promotion chasing Newton Heath. Ross Lindsay and Carl James scored Aylburton's goals. Goalkeeper Aiden Skelton had an outstanding match.

* HARROW Hill conceded three times in the last 20 minutes against Smiths Athletic to lose a game they generally controlled. Hill dominated the first-half and led through a Will Freeman goal. The second-half was more even, but Hill felt they should have had a penalty and that a perfectly good goal was disallowed for offside. At the other end, keeper Wayne Baldwin made two fine saves. Smiths equalised while Richard Wilce (pictured) was off the field getting treatment. Hill's heads dropped and they conceded two more late goals.

* SOUDLEY lost 3-1 at Bourton Rovers after another lacklustre performance on a poor playing surface. Teddy Adams put Soudley 1-0 up from a a good Kristian Lewis pass. Shaun Tingle should have doubled Soudley's lead when he robbed the home keeper of the ball, but he shot wide. Bourton levelled from a corner after 30 minutes following some sloppy defending. They took the lead five minutes into the second period. Sub Paul Johnson gave the Bourton defence a torrid time in the second-half and it was no surprise when he won a penalty. Teddy Adams hit the post. With Soudley pushing for an equaliser, Bourton hit them again on the break.

* VINEY travelled to Cam without any central defenders, but new signing Tom Cullinane came into the squad. Matt Addis and Jared Liddington went close for Viney, but it was Cam who scored first. The home side almost snatched a second, but Saunders made a fine save when one-on-one. Viney regrouped but Cam hit them with a second goal. Jared Liddington pulled one back with a fine lob after being sent clear. The second-half belonged to Viney. Russell and Kavanagh had chances, but a second goal eluded them. This was a game Viney could and should have won at a canter.

Viney: L Saunders, J Bendall, S James, D Sutton, A Jones, D Baglin, K Locke, C Russell, L Kavanagh, J Liddington, M Addis. Subs: T Cullinane, D.Jeeves.

* STRUGGLING Mitcheldean lost 8-3 to FC Barometrics in an open game which flowed from end to end. Mark Walby, Adam Beaumont and Craig Ward scored for Mitcheldean. Fellow strugglers Tidenham gained a 0-0 draw with Chalford. Tidenham survived a scare when Chalford missed a penalty.
