King's name needs to stay
I AM writing to say how very pleased I am to hear about the alterations going on in Gloucester.
The only thing I would like to comment on is the name change from King's Square to King's Quarter.
Why change the name after all this time?
This is our heritage and it has always been known as King's Square by the older population in Gloucester.
Sunday and Monday evenings £12.00 per head for an all inclusive meal with Indian and Thai cuisine (normal price £14.50).
Bring this voucher to the restaurant complete with your name and email address on it.
Terms: Expires 31st July
Contact: 01452 223782
Valid until: Wednesday, July 31 2013
The people who have decided to change the name have probably never lived in or were not born in Gloucester, so have never known the history of the city.
With all this change going on, I do hope they will include some decent toilets, along with some good shops and restaurants.
I wish Gloucester Council good luck but remember the older generation who remember King's Square.

“You do realise they're building on the square itself? It becomes a block of shops. There is a new square but it's roughly where Walmsleys the recently closed furniture shop is. Check out http://tinyurl.com/93ck6ro”
