MIDFIELDER Joss Labadie has extended his loan spell with Cheltenham Town to a second month.

The 19-year-old has made four starts for the Robins since arriving from West Bromwich Albion.

He missed the 2-2 home draw with Northampton Town as he served a one-match suspension for accumulating five bookings.

The fiercely competitive youngster has been cautioned in three of his appearances for Cheltenham.

He was sent off for previous loan club Shrewsbury Town at Morecambe earlier in the season.

Labadie scored for Shrewsbury against Cheltenham in their 2-1 victory at the Abbey Business Stadium on September 29.

He was due to retain his place in the starting line-up to face Burton Albion this afternoon, partnering David Bird in the centre of midfield.

Labadie signed a new one-year deal with the Baggies last summer, with the option of a second year.

He joined the Baggies at the end of the 2005-06 season after being spotted at Barking Abbey College of Sport and completing a trial at The Hawthorns.

The Croydon-born youngster has yet to make his first-team debut for the club but he made 10 appearances, including one as a substitute, for Albion in the Barclays Premier Reserve League last season.

Labadie is one of three loan signings currently at Cheltenham, along with Bristol Rovers' David Pipe and Blackpool's Ashley Eastham.

Eastham had made two starts ahead of today's home clash with the Brewers.

"I have got used to the surroundings and played a couple of games and I am enjoying it so far," the 18-year-old centre-back said.

"The second half against Chesterfield (1-0 defeat ) last week showed what we can do with the ball and we need to show that at home against Burton.

"We are getting on with it and the managerial situation is nothing to do with us.

"We are happy with John Schofield as manager and what will be will be."
