Labour victorious in Berry Hill by-election
Labour's Tim Gwilliam will be installed as the new Forest of Dean District councillor for Berry Hill after he emerged victorious in yesterday's by-election.
He collected 276 votes, to Conservative candidate Nigel Bluett's 102 and UKIP nominee John McOwan's 85.
The seat has been vacant since last September, after the death of Labour councillor Helen Stewart.
Turnout was 34.6 per cent.
