The event was held on January 12 at the community centre.

Organiser Abby Keohane, from Courtfield Road, ran the event in memory of her nan Janet, who died after a heart attack in 2010 at the age of 75.

She said: "Despite the fact that cardiovascular diseases killed more people in 2010 than anything else, the charity often struggles to get the exposure it deserves so I wanted to do something to help them."

“I may well do KLR86. Not sure you should come though as I don't think you could handle it ;-)”

“Maybe you could organise one Stuntgirl? I bet you could get all the lad's hearts a flutter with a tastefully done night with some pretty waitresses serving up a tray of sexy to all the blokes!”

“Men 'ogle' at women all the time we're used to it. Why are you upset that a young woman raised money in memory of her grandmother.

Why don't the ones moaning about having a men's equivalent get off their bottoms and organise one themselves. If not stop whining and get a life.”

“To be honest Matt I completely agree. We should strive for equality not pander to some awful feminist agenda. I'm frankly appalled that these women raised money for a charity in this degrading way. If women want to 'ogle' ,as you put it, topless men, they should open up a Ladies' club, much like Minx Gentlemen's Club and pay to get their beady eyes on some chiselled pecs. Vis-a-vis Douglasknows' stance on the word 'ladies' being over-used, I am more than happy to throw some ideas around in terms of the name of the club, however if we are working on the basis that the club's name should reflect its patrons, then I think we should think about re-naming Minx's Gentlemen's Club too. If it is just linguistic variety that Douglas is hoping for, then we could even get quite inventive with the name! I've come up with a few ideas; "Matron's Delight" "Wenches' Paradise" "The Giraffe Club" (random one there for you Douglas)”

“'Ladies' is a word over-used nowadays.”

“So where & when is the reverse event, of more interest to us blokes...???

Won't happen, as it would be deemed to be sexist / degrading / sleazy. OK for ladies to ogle topless male waiters, though.

    Just saying.”
