'Large carving knife' used in off-licence robbery
Police are appealing for information following a knifepoint robbery at an off-licence in Longlevens last night.
Two men made off with cigarettes and cash from the till after holding up the store in Oxstalls Lane at about 9.35pm yesterday with what is described as a "large carving knife".
A woman working at the shop was pushed during the incident but was otherwise unharmed, although she was left very shaken up.
The men ran off along Oxstalls Way and it is believed may have made their escape through the University of Gloucestershire campus.

A dog handler joined other officers for a thorough search of the area but no suspects were found.
The first offender is described as male, around 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, tracksuit bottoms and a woollen hat pulled down over his face with small slits cut into in it to see through.
The second offender is described as male, 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build, wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, a navy tracksuit and dark footwear.
Scenes of crimes officers carried out a forensic investigation at the scene while detectives are also pursuing potential CCTV opportunities and making a number of other inquiries.
Police are particularly eager to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the men in the area shortly before or after the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting incident 402 of January 10.

“I don't see why it is thought that they could have made their escape through the university campus - unless they were actually seen on Oxstalls property. If you've ever walked along that alleyway at night, you'll know that the rear gates are usually locked (unless there is sports practice going on) and the fencing is too high to climb over. It is far more likely that they went all the way along the alleyway till it comes to a track, then turned left for Estcourt Road or right towards Plock Court.”
