Leaflet to be distributed in Tewkesbury as part of the bid to save The Cross
A CAMPAIGN leaflet has been produced by Tewkesbury Town Council as it tries to raise £10,000 to save The Cross.
Parts of Tewkesbury's stone war memorial are crumbling and scaffolding surrounds it for safety reasons.
The council, backed by the Tewkesbury Echo, is appealing to the public to help raise the money it needs to repair the structure.
Last night's council meeting in the town hall saw members show off a flier that they plan to distribute across Tewkesbury.

“Are things really that bad in Tewkesbury that the council feels the need to go around with a begging bowl to find a paltry 10 grand to save the war memorial?”
