Learn how to get vintage fashion look at Gloucester Style catwalk show
BESPOKE retro clothing will be showcased on the catwalk at the Gloucester Style Festival this month.
Sylvia Piontek who designs vintage style dresses and runs Miss Silver in Commercial Road, has been busy preparing 12 unique outfits to be modelled on the day.
She said: "I am designing a mixture of outfits including a full circle dress, pencil dress, stylish capri trousers, which are fitted at the waist and a business style dress – something to cater for everybody.
"The outfits are being exclusively designed and created for the show. Each outfit has been made to measure and will fit the models perfectly.

"A whole variety of colour, style and designs will be modelled, with a hint of Doris Day."
The collection will be showcased at the ladies lunch on October 23 and it is the first of three major events that week. It takes place in the 1873 club at Gloucester Rugby.
With a vintage and cherry theme, visitors will get to enjoy a drinks reception and two course meal with 50s styled models with retro hair styled by Blushes.
Sylvia added: "The festival is all about bringing style and class to Gloucester and this is what the week will bring, including elegance.
"It is going to a brilliant week and we are very much looking forward to attending the Hot in the City event at Blackfriars."
Apart from dedicating much of her time to the festival, Sylvia and husband Greg travelled down to London at the weekend to get a first look at new fabrics. Greg said: "We were invited to a show where we got to view the latest fabrics coming to the country from Italy and France.
"Sylvia has also made an absolutely fabulous 1950s style coat for herself. I have never seen anything like it before.
"At the moment Sylvia is also in the process of designing wedding dresses, one which will be worn by a local hairdresser who is getting married at Christmas. She also has orders for February."
Greg added: "Sylvia wouldn't let the customers go until both she and the customer is happy. The outfit has to be perfect.
"It usually takes her a few days to make a dress."
As well as the ladies lunch, there is a free fashion at Gloucester Quays on October 24 and also the major red carpet event at Blackfriars on October 25.
Tickets are still available for Blackfriars.
