What's your favourite Gloucestershire day out?

Watch the Seven Bore at Minsterworth, drive through the Forest around Soudley to see the bluebells before visiting the Dean Heritage Centre. Then a picnic at Beechenhurst and a walk around the Sculpture Trail followed by a swing through the trees at Go Ape. In the evening a trip to the Feathers in Coleford for a pint and 'Gasoline' rocking the night away.

And your favourite place to eat out in the county?

The Rising Sun in Woolaston, Maria's home-made steak pies are the best steak pies you will ever eat.

What's the worst job you've ever had?

Loading pallets with boxes of blackcurrant cordial at the pop factory in Taff's Well. But I did manage to save enough money to buy my first Gibson Les Paul.

Have you got any unusual habits?

Being a district councillor is a pretty weird habit, but I also play lead guitar in The Mighty FOG and Gasoline, two dynamite, local rock bands.

Who is your hero and why?

Apart from my parents who, having brought up my two sisters, brother and myself, still have smiles on their faces, I would have to say my aunt and God Mother Dr Ursula Masson (1945-2008).

What book are you reading at the moment or tell us your favourite?

My favourite book of all time is Catch 22 by Joseph Heller.

What was the last film you watched?

Hangover Two!

First single/record you ever bought?

Made in Japan. The live double album by Deep Purple.

Facebook or Twitter?

I'm on both.
