What's your favourite Gloucestershire day out?
Sitting in one of my favorite cafes in Stroud with a double espresso and brownie followed by a walk in Randwick Woods – a wonderful place at any time of year with amazing views.
And your favourite place to eat out in the county?
There are many wonderful cafes locally, the great HK House and Balti Spice – but favorite must be eating pasta at my daughter's with family.

What's the worst job you've ever had?
Laundry porter at a geriatric hospital; very early starts, working on your own with very unpleasant loads to carry in the days before such things would have been banned without protection!

Ask others about that I forget who said: "I'd rather be a little weird than boring."
Who is your hero and why?
Heroes are about the qualities we'd like to possess and ambitions we'd like to satisfy. For me, all those who challenge prejudice and injustice are heroes. We are fortunate to have many of them in Stroud.
What book are you reading at the moment or tell us your favourite?
Just finished The History of Love by Nicole Kraussl
What was the last film you watched?
The Hobbit; not sure about the 3D though.
First single/record you ever bought?
Do I have to be honest? My Ding-a-Ling; a "novelty song" by Chuck Berry!
