Lighting the way towards Christmas
DECORATIONS are up and the lights are at the ready for the big Bath Road Christmas switch-on.
Thousands are expected to line the streets this Friday as traders and residents officially mark the start of the festive period.

Father Christmas will lead a procession through the street on a sleigh before turning on the lights amidst a fanfare of music and entertainment.

"We had record numbers last year and we're expecting to top it this time round.
"We like to call ourselves the Notting Hill of Cheltenham and the atmosphere will be great.
"We'll have mulled wine and a barbecue will be going on outside Moran's.
"It's just a chance for the whole community to get together and celebrate the start of the festive season together."
