RUBBISH galore was picked up from the Honeybourne Line at the weekend in memory of a Cheltenham man who died in a motorcycle accident.

The family of Ben Lockwood, who died in December 2005, aged 24, have been organising the clear-up of the area for the keen cyclist and environmentalist for the past seven years.

The former Cleeve School student's mum Jenny said family members, along with volunteers from the Global Footsteps charity and members of the Friends of the Honeybourne Line, all came along to the clear-up.

She said around 35 people helped pick up a van-full of rubbish, which was taken away.
