Roll up - model and organic farmer Liz Hurley is selling her sausages from a market stall.

The celebrity has taken a pitch at Cirencester Farmers' Market to sell her Gloucester Old Spot pork.

Launching her stall, trading under Elizabeth Hurley Farms, the star turned out to tout her wares before shopping in the market.

It's a bit of a coup for market manager Simon Smith who said: "We've been looking for a supplier of Gloucester Old Spot pork for over 12 months since Scrubditch Real Meats retired from the market.

"Elizabeth Hurley's farm manager Duncan Barber rang in early February to express an interest in taking a stall, and took me on a tour of the farm.

"I was impressed with the set up – a nice, old fashioned mixed farm with Gloucester cattle, Gloucester Old Spot pigs, Shetland and Lleyn sheep and some arable cropping as well."

Ms Hurley farms 100-acres at Ampney Knowle, a stone's throw from Cirencester.

She started supplying the town's butcher Jesse Smith with pork last September and her bangers went down a storm.

Her market pitch will be a regular from now on.

And she plans to expand the range to include Old Spot bacon, and Gloucester beef.

The next market is on Saturday (Marchh 14) and is held in the Market Place every second and fourth Saturday, from 8.30am to 1pm.
