Lots to do in Gloucestershire over the Bank Holiday
With sunshine forecast and a Bank Holiday in store many may be getting out of the county this weekend.
But Gloucestershire has its fair share of exciting events for all those not wanting to get away for the great weekend.
One of the highlights for thousands will be the Greenbelt Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse, running from Friday to Monday.
The event has the ethos of bringing together faith, arts and music.

The line-up on the opening day includes comedian Milton Jones, the London Community Gospel Choir, soul singer Lemar, broadcaster Clare Balding and American rock band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
It will be a special year for the family festival, which is celebrating its 40th event and the 15th year of it being held at the famous Prestbury Park.
Others might want to pay a visit to The Stow Cotswold Festival taking place over the weekend and on Bank Holiday Monday.
It celebrates food, fashion and fun, all of which Stow has plenty to offer in abundance.
Minster Merriment will also draw the crowds this weekend as St Mary’s Church holds a celebration in the surrounding churchyard on Saturday from noon to 4pm.
It will show off plans it has to create a welcoming green oasis in the centre of Cheltenham and enhance what is the oldest building in the town.
Mum-of-four Julia Smith was looking forward to the holiday.
The 35-year-old from Up Hatherley said: “There really is a lot going on around the area if you look and so it seems silly to pay premium prices and get away. If the weather is good we really should make the most of living in such a beautiful part of the world.
“A lot of us mums are exhausted from the summer holidays, so it is good to know it is nearly at the end.”
