A CHRISTMAS Day proposal has proved no turkey for Tuffley couple Jason Tosh and Tracy Dobbs.

The lovebirds tied the knot at the Holiday Inn in Barnwood on November 30, after a night out with mates in October last year changed the course of their lives forever.

"I was just out with some friends and we wound up in Fever," said Jason, 40, a warehouse operative.

"One of my mates was talking to Tracy's sister and Tracy was there on her own, we got talking and I knew straight away she was the one.

"We were talking for ages and it felt really comfortable and relaxed, I just knew."

He added: "The wedding was the best day of my life, I was worse than a kid in a candy shop."

The pair have wasted no time, tying the knot 14 months after their first encounter.

And Jason chose Christmas Day to pop the question last year.

Tracy, 43, a support worker in mental health services, said of the wedding: "It was an amazing day, it went brilliantly. We had all our friends and family there, and our work colleagues came in the evening too.

"We couldn't have asked for anything better."

The couple were joined by best man Adrian Barnes, chief bridesmaid Angela Barnes, bridesmaids Elouise Picknell and Hannah Newbury and Tracy's children Ethan, four, and Lucas, 14.
