Make date for clerk talk
COUNCILLORS in Tewkesbury now have to fix an appointment to see the town clerk.
A diary system has been introduced by Tewkesbury Town Council to help Pauline Clarke and her staff manage their time better while working in the authority's town hall offices.
Mrs Clarke told a council meeting that she had no issue with members nipping in to the offices to pick something up but the disruption occurred when they then stayed there for some time.
Town mayor Ken Powell said a browsing area for councillors might be set up in the hall's basement.

“they'll have a job, they're only intending on installing half a lift so it might be difficult to access! I've heard the rumour that there's shackles already installed and as for appointments does that include those that enter from the rear?”

“He he, I wonder whether the "browsing area in the basement" will have shackles on the wall and a handy supply of bread and water.”
