Man arrested in Cheltenham rape investigation
A man has been arrested as police continue to investigate an attempted rape in Cheltenham at the beginning of February.
The incident happened between 3.30am and 4am on Saturday February 3 as a 22-year-old woman was walking along Brunswick Street.

She was approached by a man who asked her for directions.
He then pushed the woman, attempted to remove her clothes and sexually assaulted her before running off.

Yesterday morning, police arrested a 23-year-old man from Ledbury on suspicion of attempted rape as part of the investigation.
He has since been bailed to return to Cheltenham Police Station on April 11, pending further enquiries.
Investigating officers are still eager to hear from anyone out socialising on the evening of Friday February 2 into Saturday February 3 that may have information about the assault.
