A man has been taken to hospital after a road traffic accident on the A40 this morning.

Firefighters were called to Elmbridge Court Roundabout at around 6.14am where a man had become trapped after the crash.

Two fire crews from Gloucester rescued the man by 6.36am and he was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by county ambulance.

Police said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
