Man stabbed in the back in Arle Gardens, Cheltenham
A man was stabbed in the back during an assault in Arle Gardens, Cheltenham on Sunday.
The 27-year-old victim was attacked between 2.15am and 2.30am yesterday.

He was walking along Arle Gardens when he was approached by another man who asked him for a cigarette.
He responded that he did not have any but the man assaulted him and ran off.

The victim then discovered that he had a small puncture wound on his back.
He was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital for treatment. His injury is not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
The offender was described as white, in his 20s, of medium build and around 5ft 5” tall. He was also described as having an accent that was neither English nor Polish.
Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 70 of September 16.

“The victim was a 27 years old Polish national as the incident was mentioned on one of the main Polish websites. Funny how they say that smoking can kill, in this particular case not smoking could kill ;-)”

“Curious to mention the attacker's accent was neither English or Polish. Maybe the victim is Polish, which would help explain why this particular accent has been mentioned (i.e. the attacker had an accent, but his victim recognised that it wasn't Polish).”
