Man suspected of stealing statue
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to steal a statue from a Cheltenham park.
Police were called out to Sandford Park at around 4.40am this morning, after they received a tip-off that someone was trying to make away with the stone ornament.

They arrived to find the statue had been loosened from its base, with a car and trailer parked nearby.
A man was arrested near the scene and remains in police custody.
