Man trapped under van after he tries a bump start
A man was rescued from underneath a van on Saturday evening after he became trapped.
At 5.45pm, the fire service received a call from Ambulance control requesting assistance with a man trapped underneath a van.
A crew from the Stroud fire station were mobilised to deal with the incident with a crew of five fire-fighters and with Watch Commander Dave Woodward in charge.
On arrival the Watch Commander confirmed he had become trapped by his foot after his van had rolled back onto him. The cause was thought to be due to the man attempting to bump start the vehicle.

The man was successfully released from the vehicle and only suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by county paramedics.
The crew were detained for just under 20 minutes at the scene.
