MARLON Pack says tonight's match against title rivals Crawley Town is a chance for Cheltenham Town to show they are the best counter-attacking team in League Two.

A run of seven wins and a draw from their last eight away League matches has helped the Robins soar to the top of the table.

Pack knows that their enviable record on the road will be severely tested at the Broadfield Stadium, where Crawley have won ten of their 13 League fixtures this term.

But the midfield creator believes Cheltenham have nothing to be afraid of on their travels between now and the end of the campaign.

"Our away form has been brilliant and I think that's because on the counter-attack we are the best in the division with the formation we play and the players we have," Pack said.

"It suits us and we've been great away from home so hopefully we can continue that at Crawley.

"As long as we keep picking up points it doesn't matter what the teams below us do and we have some tough away games coming up, but we don't fear anyone."

Boss Mark Yates made three changes for the trip to Macclesfield Town ten days ago, with Brian Smikle, Jeff Goulding and Jermaine McGlashan replacing Russ Penn, Darryl Duffy and Jimmy Spencer.

The personnel may have changed but the outcome was familiar as Cheltenham won 3-1.

"The gaffer made the changes and it worked for us," Pack said.

"We're not sure what the side will be at Crawley and that's healthy because people are waiting to take your place if you are not doing it."

Pack opened his goalscoring account for the season in the 3-1 victory over Crawley at the Abbey Business Stadium last August as the big-spending title favourites' unbeaten start to the season was brought to an abrupt halt.

Goulding and Kaid Mohamed were also on target as Cheltenham went into half-time three goals ahead.

He is now hoping Cheltenham complete a win double that would send out a statement to the rest of League Two.

"The first half that day was probably the best half we've played all season," he said.

"I have some great memories of that match and I want to go and do the same now away from home."
