Master can make history at Festival
MASTER Minded looks a great bet to rewrite the record books tomorrow and win the Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase for the third time, writes Jonathan Herbert.
He has already proved himself the best current two-mile chaser around with his victories in the race in the past two years.

Master Minded will be looking to create history
But tomorrow he can confirm his standing as an all-time great by emulating 1980s legend Badsworth Boy and complete the treble.
None of his 11 rivals tomorrow have got close to the level of form he has produced in recent years and any bookmakers offering even-money are likely to have their hands snapped off.
Master Minded's success in the 2008 Champion Chase had to been seen to be believed, as he hammered reigning champion Voy Por Ustedes by 19 lengths.
It was a truly astonishing performance from the then five-year-old, with two-mile chases rarely won by such a wide margin, especially at the top level.
He returned 12 months later to hand out another beating, this time by seven lengths to Well Chief, in making a successful defence of his crown.
Remarkably, trainer Paul Nicholls believes Master Minded was not at his best last spring, making his victory all the more remarkable.
A shock defeat for the champion at Cheltenham in November sent shockwaves around the racing world.
But the reason for his below-part effort soon became apparent when he was diagnosed with a broken rib.
It proved to be minor blip as he made his comeback at Newbury and won easily, bar a mistake at the last fence which jockey Ruby Walsh blamed on himself.
Nicholls is confidently Master Minded is back to his best, in which case his rivals have a mountain to climb.
Kalahari King looks his biggest danger but three defeats in his past six races, including a short-head reverse to Forpadydeplasterer at last year's Festival, suggests he will have his work cut out to dethrone the champion.
The rest of the field are much of a muchness and their connections will quite reasonably hold hopes of seeing them finish in the first three.
At around 33-1, last year's runner-up Well Chief could give his supporters another good run for their money at a track which suits.
