Masterchef star cooks up a storm in the Forest
FOOD sourced from around the county was put under scrutiny by BBC food expert Gregg Wallace at the Speech House Hotel over the weekend.
The host of TV's Masterchef turned out to cast his eye over the food served up by head chef Brent Price and his team. Saturday's gourmet dinner was made using local ingredients.
Food producers contributing to the menu returned to the Speech House on Sunday for a Forest Showcase event to encourage the homegrown ethos and promote a green lifestyle. Gregg returned to cook up a storm in the event's cookery theatre yesterday.
Vicki Thornton, area co-ordinator, said: "We would like to share ideas and to hear what others are doing to save money, energy and reduce CO2 emissions."
