Mayoral praise for chamber at banquet
GLOUCESTER Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet and ball at the Bowden Hall Hotel, Upton St Leonards last Friday night.
The guest of honour was the Mayor of Gloucester Coun David Brown, right, who praised the work of the Chamber and said Gloucester had a lot to be proud of as a city.

"You do wonderful work for the city and it is much appreciated," said the mayor. "There are signs of good things to come for local businesses."
He urged everyone to believe in the city and attacked critics who "knock Gloucester".

Gloucester Chamber of Commerce president Mark Boyce, whose chosen charity is Age UK Gloucestershire, said the chamber had launched a new website, www.gloucesterchamber.org.uk and was working to increase its membership.
