Meet your friendly 400-year-old stonemason
MEETING a 400-year-old stonemason and having a two-hour chat with him is all in a day's work for Gloucestershire's Supernatural Seekers.
Ahead of Halloween tomorrow, the team of nine paranormal investigators have shared some of their haunting experiences, including the time they met the 16th-century man when they descended upon the Ancient Ram Inn at Wotton- under-Edge.

Mrs Jones, a 25-year-old stay-at-home mum, said: "It was a really good night for us. The Ouija board was working quickly responding to lots of questions. We talked to a man for around two hours. He said he was a stonemason looking after a disabled girl and that he often slept in the barn but that he had been poisoned.
"We feel there is a lot of residual energy at The Ram Inn that is still there. The more we go, the more energy we create."
The group claims to have snapped a 'healing shape' at the venue.
Mrs Jones first got into the paranormal business eight years ago when her 33-year-old IT technician husband was supposedly 'choked' by a ghost and objects started to fly around the house. They also said their back door smashed to pieces.
The pair seeks out spirits across the county at least twice a month with their 10-strong team, which has been up and running for eight years.
They encourage members of the public to join in and some people reported hearing electronic voice phenomena on their mobile phones while taking part in the evening.
The phenomena have been explained away by scientists but the paranormal investigators from the supernatural seekers swear by their air of other-worldliness.
Not all of their encounters are friendly ones.
"There are some dark entities and they can become quite manipulative," added Mrs Jones. "Sometimes they will pose as your family members and are generally not nice."

“Did they ask the stone mason if he inscribed his own headstone?”
