Met Office severe weather warning for heavy rain on Thursday
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for heavy rain in Gloucestershire on Thusday.
Outbreaks of heavy, thundery, rain are forecast to spread from the south during Thursday which have the potential for some locally torrential downpours in places.
The public should aware of the potential for some localised flooding, the Met Office said.
The Met Office Chief Forecaster's assessment of the risk is: "An area of heavy, thundery rain will affect much of England and Wales during Thursday, with the heaviest outbreaks most likely over southern parts of England and Wales through the middle of the day. Expect 15-20 mm quite widely during the day with 30-50 mm in places and potential for 20 mm or more locally in one hour.
