ALMOST Athletes achieved positive results in the Dursley Dozen.

Chris Midgley ran a superb race and finished sixth in his category in a time of one hour, 36 minutes.

Matthew Hampton ran strongly in 1:41 and Nick Spice – voted club runner of the year – clocked 1:47.

Matthew Farrer finished seconds behind him while Hester Davis came within one minute of a sub two-hour time for sixth place in her category.

Rebekah Stephens, who is training for the London Marathon, tackled the tough course in 2:19.

The Wiltshire 10 Mile, in only its second year, saw two Almosts recording impressive times.

Dave McGrath sped round in 1:02 and Edward Collier recorded a time of 1:04.
