Mike amazed with his giant cabbages
THEY had better like coleslaw at Mike Sansom's.
This enormous pair of cabbages are among the autumn harvest at his Stratford Road allotment.
Mike, 73, was even more surprised to see them flourish on his allotment as he hadn't planted them. They appeared as a pair of 'rogue seeds' among his cauliflowers.
And didn't stop growing.

"I love gardening and have been growing vegetables for years. My father taught me," said Mike.
His allotment has yielded a particularly good crop this year, including runner beans, French beans, broad beans, carrots, parsnips, shallots and more.
Warm weather means some of his vegetables are ready earlier than usual and he's already harvesting Brussels sprouts.
Mike has donated one of the cabbages to Callowell School's harvest festival, where his two granddaughters attend.
"I'm going to have invite family and friends round to help me eat the other one," he said.
