CULINARY dishes from across the globe were on display at Imjin Barracks as part of a fundraiser organised by the military wives.

Nearly 200 people sampled food from up to 16 different nations on Thursday at a Taste of NATO event in the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps officers' mess, raising nearly £5,000 for charities Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre and Abalare Homes for Veterans.

"It was wonderful to see so many members of both our unit as well as the greater Gloucestershire communities come together to put on this excellent event for such worthy causes," said event organiser Claire Segrave.

"Guests were stunned by the food and said how fabulous everyone was that they talked to. They all thoroughly enjoyed it and want another one next year."
