Miss Silver boutique looks for another shop as they lead vintage tourism campaign
ONE of the most unique boutiques in the county is celebrating its success after being invited to take part in a vintage and modern campaign.
Miss Silver dress designs, in Commercial Road, Gloucester, specialises in handmade dresses inspired by the 1940s, 50s and 60s.

The boutique is run by husband and wife Greg and Sylvia Piontek, who originally sold their collection online.
The vintage and modern campaign, run by the Gloucester Tourism Board and Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership Gfirst, is taking place at the Ellenborough Park Hotel, Cheltenham.
Sunday and Monday evenings £12.00 per head for an all inclusive meal with Indian and Thai cuisine (normal price £14.50).

A photo shoot will take place of the dresses being modelled alongside vintage cars on Thursday, March 21.
Such is the success of the store, that shoppers come from across the county and further afield to buy their designs, said Greg.
And they are now considering opening a second store in the heart of Cheltenham.
Greg said: "We have customers coming from Manchester and Birmingham.
"My wife makes all the dresses, this is her little project. She makes phenomenal dresses.
"People like coming to her because they are one-off dresses. They are unique and shoppers can come and have a look at the fabrics.
"If you go into a shop in London, you will often see the same dress in many sizes."
Sylvia also makes wedding dresses and has recently held a 21st birthday party event.
Miss Silver dress designs is the only boutique representing Gloucester in the vintage touring information map and guide for sightseeing, shopping and touring in the Cotswolds.
Greg added: "We decided to open the shop a year ago. Before that we sold the dresses online and had a lot of customers ordering from countries such as Germany."
The shop open to the public on Saturdays, and customers can ring to book a 30-minute appointment between noon and 4pm with Sylvia. But they can open on other days to suit customers.
"Customers really like the VIP service because they can talk to Sylvia and she will measure them up and talk through fabrics and designs," added Greg.
