Monsters and dinosaurs take over school classroom

MONSTERS and dinosaurs took over a classroom at Littledean Primary School this week.

The school's four-year-old new starters have all been getting to know each other since arriving at the school gates for the first time last month.

Reception teacher Carole Greening said: "We had monsters and dinosaurs everywhere. They are having so much fun and are really settling in very well.

"We are now going to start looking at journeys as our next topic, such as how we get to and from school."

The monster and dinosaur theme was inspired by children's book favourite The Gruffalo.

Their next big read will be Rose's Garden, by author Peter Reynolds, in which Rose travels the world in her teapot before settling down to create a garden.
