Motorcyclist dies after crash near Ashchurch in Tewkesbury
A MOTORCYCLIST has died after crashing into a van near Ashchurch in Tewkesbury yesterday evening.
The 34-year-old from Cheltenham was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which took place on the A46 between the Teddington Hands Inn roundabout and the Aston Cross traffic lights.

He was riding a red Honda motorcycle which collided with a white Volkswagen Caddy at around 7.45pm.
The driver of the van, a 40-year-old man from Evesham, was not injured.

All of the emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed for five hours while the police carried out their investigation.
Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a lorry loaded with hay that was overtaken by a small vehicle on this stretch of road around the time of the collision.
The driver of the lorry, and any other witnesses to the collision, are asked to call Gloucestershire police on 101 quoting incident number 345 of January 15.
