Police today said there will be no further action in the case of the death of a woman in Longlevens at the weekend.

Initially a man was arrested on suspicion of murder after the 51-year-old woman's body was discovered in a property in Innsworth Lane on Sunday.

A police spokesman said today: "No further action is being taken against a 56-year-old man from Churchdown arrested after the death of a 51-year-old woman's body in Innsworth Lane, Gloucester on Sunday March 7.

"We are not looking for anyone else in connection to her death.

"The next of kin and the coroner have been informed."

No details on the woman's identity, apart from her age, have been revealed yet.
