National Chip Week: How do you eat yours?
A BRITISH culinary classic is being celebrated in Gloucester as National Chip Week gets under way.
The fish and chip industry in Britain is worth £1.2billion – so £1 of every £100 spent on food is spent in a fish and chip shop.
We asked diners at Ye Olde Restaurant and Fish Shoppe in Hare Lane and the Black & White Restaurant in Longsmith Street how they like to eat the nation's favourite dish.
Ann Christian, 71, from Newent has been visiting Ye Olde Restaurant and Fish Shoppe for more than 50 years.
