New 156-home estate in Coleford set for thumbs up
MORE than 150 new homes could be on their way to Coleford if planning chiefs follow recommendations today.
Forest of Dean District Council's development control committee will discuss plans for 156 new houses at Owen Farm off Staunton Road this afternoon.
The proposals have been before the committee before and were deferred in January amid concerns over drainage from the estate.
A revised report has been drawn up and officers at the authority have recommended to councillors that it be given the go-ahead, pending the thrashing out of legal agreements.

“Why more houses ?? What about trying to get more shop chains or industry in the area first.”
