New Year's Day race meeting at Cheltenham abandoned because of rain
The New Year's Day race meeting at Cheltenham has been abandoned because of the continued rain.
A statement on the racecourse's website this morning confirmed the meet would now not go ahead but full refunds will be given.

The statement said: "Racing has been abandoned following further overnight rain and the onset of more rain this morning.
"Anyone who has booked tickets, dining or hospitality in advance will receive a full refund."
